Since 2006, Guide to Game has been Ontario’s one-stop destination for Hunting & Firearms licensing and training services. We offer a variety of courses including: the Canadian Firearms Safety Course (CFSC), the Canadian Restricted Firearms Safety Course (CRFSC), the Ontario Hunter Education Program (OHEP) and the International Bowhunter Education Program (IBEP).
Private coaching sessions and clinics are also offered.

Mark H. Yourkevich has been an instructor/examiner delivering the Ontario Hunter Education Program, Canadian Firearms Safety Course, and the Canadian Restricted Firearms Safety Courses for over 10 years. He is also a Wilderness Handgun Safety Course instructor/examiner. Nationally, he serves as a master trainer with the Canadian Firearms Institute where, he and Mark J. have developed and delivered Range Safety Courses, Range Officer Courses, and Holster Courses across the country. He has spent more than 25 years working as Professional Hunting Guide and Wildlife Management Consultant and while providing product and sales consultancy for Accuracy Plus.
Has extensive firearms, range training, and hunting experience. As an accomplished marksman, hunter and guide, he specializes in skills training and development. He's been operating as a FSESO instructor delivering the Canadian Firearms Safety Course, Canadian Restricted Firearms Safety Course, and the Ontario Hunter Education Program for 5 years. As a national master trainer for the Canadian Firearms Institute he has delivered Range Safety Courses, Range Officer Courses, and Action Pistol, and Holster Qualification Courses.
Sam Kim has a diverse resume of professional firearms experience and instructional training in a variety of settings including: military, competition, security, hunting, and TV / film entertainment. He is a safety-conscious instructor who enjoys sharing his expertise with all age groups and levels of ability. His instructional background in physical education and fitness, military training, and advanced shooting techniques is an asset to our positive and competent educational experience. He's also a qualified CFI Provincial Master Instructor who can deliver all their course offerings and is currently completing his requirements as a FSESO instructor apprentice.

We require pre-payment for all courses.
Deposits are non-refundable, except with proof of extenuating circumstances.
Fees are transferable under said circumstance, or with 7 days notice. This policy ensures class-sizes operate within provincial and federal mandates.
“No-Shows” will forfeit their payment and be subject to a $75.00 re-booking fee in order to register for a make-up course date.

Guide to Game offers premium quality seasonal guided hunts in the Minden Hills and Kawartha Areas.
All of our guided hunts are coordinated by Red and MJ, both of whom are successful, life-long hunters and outdoorsman. They have harvested an extensive variety of game including bear, Russian boar, wild turkey, and many whitetail deer with bow, crossbow, shotgun, rifle and muzzle loading firearms.
